According to a Tipster, Asus will launch four variants with two being India-specific devices. There are no details about what these India -specific variants will have different from the other models.

Asus is reportedly working on two new smartphones, ZenFone Max Pro (M2) and the Zenfone Max M2, and the apparent specifications of both the smartphones have been leaked. According to tipster Roland Quandt the company will launch a total of four models out which two are said to be India-centric variants. The tipster, however, did not divulge more information on the India-specific variants except their model numbers.

According to Quandt, the ZenFone Max Pro (M2) bears the model number ZB631KL and is expected to have a 6-inch full HD+ screen, 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage options. It may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor — an upgrade over the Snapdragon 636 which powers the the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) that was launched earlier this year. The other smartphone is the ZenFone Max M2 with model number ZB633KL. This device is also said to feature a 6-inch FHD+ display but is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options.

In the camera department, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro is expected to have a 13MP front camera and a triple camera setup on the back. When it comes to the Asus ZenFone Max M2, it is said to sport a 13MP front shooter and a dual rear-camera setup. The tipster says that the Asus ZB632KL model of the ZenFone Max M2, and the Asus ZB634KL model of the the ZenFone Max Pro (M2) are the Indian variants. The smartphones could launch at MWC 2019.
