Were you wondering whether the iPhone 6s finally has 2GB of RAM? While Apple made no mention of it during its keynote on September 9, a Twitter user has posted a screenshot of Xcode, Apple’s own suite of development tools, that shows the iPhone 6s running on 2GB of RAM and the iPad Pro running on 4GB of RAM.
Twitter user @hamzasood has posted a screenshot that showed that the 6s has 2GB of RAM while the iPad Pro has 4GB of RAM. While there is no official word from Apple about the authenticity of the images, it almost confirms the RAM on the new iPhone and iPad. Before the launch of the the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, a China Telecom official had also said that the new iPhones will sport 2GB of RAM.

Flagship Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 come with 4GB of RAM and even budget Android devices like the Meizu M2 Note come with 2GB of RAM. While Apple's iOS has always been quite RAM efficient, Apple fans will be more than happy to get an extra 1GB of RAM to work with. This also means that despite its RAM optimisations as compared to Android, Apple finally feels the need to add more memory onto its devices. A good example of iOS' RAM optimisation is the iPhone 6, which runs just as well as flagship Android counterparts (which have 3GB or more RAM) with just 1GB of RAM onboard. By doubling the amount of RAM, the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus should be able to perform exceptionally.
Aside from bumping up the RAM, the new iPhones also come with 12MP cameras as compared to the 8MP shooter found on the iPhone 6 and earlier. It also introduced the 3D Touch in the new iPhones. 3D Touch is touted as the next generation of Force Touch technology and can differentiate between three different levels of touch.
The 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro comes with a woven nylon keyboard called the Smart Keyboard that docks into the new iPad Pro via a Smart Connector. It also unveiled a new stylus called the Apple Pencil that comes with a bunch of sensors loaded in it.
