Apple will release the iPhone 17 series later this year, and leaks indicate that this year’s lineup will be new. According to reports, the iPhone 17 series could include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Ultra. While these are still rumours, leaks have revealed some key updates, which may be good news for fans.
According to the latest leaks, the iPhone 17 series could be released in the second week of September. However, the exact launch date remains unknown. The leaks also suggest from next year, Apple may organise a staggered launch strategy with separate launches for iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro models. Here’s what we know about the iPhone 17 series.
iPhone 17 series design
The iPhone 17 is expected to have a similar design to its predecessor. The iPhone 17 Air will be ultra-thin, with a single camera setup on the back. Both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Ultra received a significant design overhaul. It could get a new camera bump with a similar camera setup with the flash and LiDAR shifted to the right. On the front, it may include a smaller Dynamic Island. Apple is also expected to ditch its titanium frame in favour of an aluminum frame.

iPhone 17 series performance and camera
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are expected to be powered by the A19 chip, while the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Ultra will be powered by the A19 Pro chipset.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to feature enhanced 24 MP front cameras. The rear camera setup is said to be the same, with 5x telephoto available on Pro and Ultra models.

iPhone 17 series price expectations
The iPhone 17 is expected to cost Rs 89,900 (base variant), while the iPhone 17 Air could cost Rs 99,900. The iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to cost Rs 1,29,900, while the iPhone 17 Ultra could cost Rs 1,64,990. However, these are leaked prices; we will have to wait for official pricing.
