Sony seems to be working on its next year flagship smartphone, the alleged Xperia XZ2. As per a leaked image by Techie State, the smartphone is seen featuring an edge-to-edge display design similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. It is tipped to sport the model number H8216, whose specifications were recently leaked and as per the new report, the smartphone could sport over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The leaked image of the smartphone reveals a button placed on the bottom-right of the device which is speculated to double up as a fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker is placed on the right edge of the smartphone. The top of the display hosts a thin bezel which houses a speaker grille, camera and a sensor.
Coming to the specifications, a previous report suggests that the smartphone could sport a 5.5-inch FHD display with a 1920 x 1080p resolution. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB of onboard storage. The device is rumoured to feature a 12MP dual rear camera setup and a 15MP front-facing camera with Sony’s X-Reality engine which will support HDR.
The leak further suggests that the Xperia XZ2 will be powered by a 3130 mAh battery. It is expected to feature Quick Charge 4+ technology and run on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device measures 148 x 73.4 x 7.4 mm and weighs 156 g, as per the report.
