Acer is known for its PCs and laptops and now the brand has officially entered the smartphone market with the launch of two new smartphones- Acer ZX and Acer ZX Pro. Both phones run on stock Android 15 and the company says that these are designed to deliver clean software, smooth performance, and essential modern features like 5G, stereo speakers, and IP ratings. While the ZX caters to budget-conscious users, the ZX Pro brings a more premium smartphone experience.
Both of these smartphones will be sold by Indkal Technologies which will design, manufacture, and distribute smartphones under the Acer brand in India.
Acer ZX specifications
The Acer ZX is powered by the MediaTek 6300 chipset and comes in multiple RAM and storage variants, starting from 4GB+64GB and going up to 8GB+256GB. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a plastic PMMA back design, and an IP50 rating. The phone weighs 200 grams and supports 33W fast charging.
On the camera front, it packs a 64-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX682), supported by 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. For selfies, users get a 13-megapixel front camera capable of 2K video recording.
Acer ZX Pro specifications
The Acer ZX Pro is a more advanced offering and runs on the MediaTek 7400 chipset — making it one of the first smartphones to feature this processor. It is available in variants up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
It sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits brightness. The ZX Pro includes a glass back, weighs 182 grams, and carries an IP64 rating. On the camera front, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS (LYTIA IMX882), a 5-megapixel ultrawide, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel front camera as well.
It also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Atmos audio, and supports 33W fast charging.
Acer ZX and ZX Pro Price and Availability
Now as for the pricing, the Acer ZX has been launched for Rs 9,990, and the Pro model has been launched for Rs 17,990 in India. If you wish to purchase these smartphones, they are available on Amazon.
