You think iPhone 17 is expensive? Here is how much Apple’s new accessory costs
Apple launches Rs 5,900 Crossbody Strap for iPhone 17 models.
Made from recycled PET yarns with adjustable magnetic sliders.
CMF by Nothing offers a similar strap at just Rs 990.
Apple has once again drawn attention to the new iPhone 17 series, which includes the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, as well as their increased prices, particularly in price-sensitive markets such as India. But if you think that was the only surprise announcement at Apple’s Awe Dropping event, you may be wrong. Apple additionally put out a strap accessory for its fans.
SurveyYes, Apple has introduced a new Crossbody Strap accessory, which costs Rs 5,900 in India. This new strap will allow users to wear their iPhones like a sling bag. It can be attached to the TechWoven and silicone options, using small cutouts at the base of the cases. The embedded magnets and stainless steel sliders will allow users to adjust the strap length easily while keeping it firmly in place.

Apple says the accessory is made from 100 percent recycled PET yarns and is designed to sit comfortably across the body. The strap offers a maximum length of 81.9 inches and a minimum of 42.5 inches and aims to offer flexibility to the users. The Crossbody strap was showcased alongside the slim new iPhone Air, but is compatible with all iPhone 17 models when paired with Apple’s latest cases.
This is not the first time we have seen something like smartphone straps. Many brands already offer them at a more affordable price and arguably better usability. One of the biggest examples is CMF by Nothing. It offers a strap for its devices, which attaches via hook and screws and is only priced at Rs 990.
Anyway, Apple being Apple, it’s sticking to the familiar playbook, sleek design, seamless ecosystem lock-in, and a price tag that’s anything but subtle. And if the iPhone 17’s Rs. 82,900 starting price already made you gulp, the accessories are here to remind you that in Apple’s world, even carrying your phone comes at a premium.
