PowerSquare launches cost-effective wireless charging technology for Qi compatible devices.

PowerSquare, a start up in the wireless power industry, has introduced an Adaptive Position-Free (APF) system that simultaneously refuels multiple Qi-compatible devices. PowerSquare's  new patent-pending system aims to address the challenge of providing charge to more than one device on a large surface.

According to the company, the new system is cost-effective and also works with old and new devices, providing backwards compatibility. The system also meets safety specifications (WPC1.1 FOD) of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC).

“The wireless power ecosystem now has a cost effective way to collaborate and deliver greater innovation around existing standards to consumers,” says Mr. Pavan Pudipeddi, CEO of PowerSquare.

“Our goal is to partner with developers and create a range of marketable, consumer friendly devices. With combined experience of more than 50 years, the PowerSquare team has been part of the industry’s evolution. We look forward to playing an integral role in its growth moving forward.”

PowerSquare will launch its first self-branded consumer product – Qi Wireless Charging Pad – by December 2014. The company plans to tie up with more players in the wireless segment to provide APF-system based affordable products. Learn more about PowerSquare here.
