Google honours the workers around the globe on the International Labour Day
Google joins the celebrations for today’s international Labour Day and has put up a dedicated Google doodle on its home page.
SurveyLabour Day is believed to have its origins from the labour union movement, which sought 8-hours work, 8-hours for recreation, and 8-hours for rest. May 1 is a national holiday in over 80 countries and celebrated unofficially in various other nations.
India is among many countries that celebrate Labour Day every year on May 1. First Labour Day was organised in India by he Labour Kisan Party of Hindustan in Madras on May 1, 1923. You can read more about the Labour Day here.
