Facebook now lets you post Stickers in comments
Facebook users can now post stickers in comments on Timeline, Groups and Events posts.
Facebook has added support for stickers in comments on personal posts and posts in events and groups. The social networking giant has rolled out the feature in both desktop and mobile versions.
Stickers will allow social networking and messaging users to engage in conversations more easily from a mobile phone. To post stickers in comments users have to go to a post from a friend or in a group. They will be able to see a smiley face to the right of the camera icon in the comment box, and can choose which sticker fits best. The stickers are free for now, but Facebook may monetise them in the future.
Facebook software engineer Bob Baldwin announced this in a post:
"Stickers have been a delightful way to communicate in messages, and I’m happy to announce we’re bringing them to comments across Facebook. Just tap the smiley face icon in the bottom-right of any comment field to pick a sticker to send. It’ll be available to all posts from people, in groups, and on events now. I think stickers will allow people to reply to a variety of posts in a more fun way than words alone. You can now easily show your excitement for a post with good news, cheer up a friend who’s feeling down, and express a variety of more nuanced reactions."
Facebook has gotten a lot of criticism for invading users privacy. The social networking site is reportedly now working on an app for anonymity. The standalone app will allow users to sign up anonymously and use multiple pseudonyms to openly discuss topics which they may not be comfortable connecting to their real names.
