BenQ has launched the TK705i and TK705STi smart 4K home projectors in India, expanding its line-up of living-room and gaming-friendly projectors. The models are aimed at users who want a large-screen setup without the complexity of traditional home-theatre installations. Both projectors offer true 4K resolution, Google TV, and fast gaming response times, positioning them as premium alternatives to smart TVs for mixed entertainment.
SurveyPrice and availability
The BenQ TK705i is priced at Rs 199,990 and the TK705STi at Rs 225,000. Both models will be available through BenQ’s authorised retail and online partners starting in December.
Specifications
Both TK705i series models feature native 4K UHD output with BenQ’s HDR-PRO tone mapping and CinematicColor tuning. The projectors deliver 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness, which should be adequate for brightly lit rooms, and 98 percent Rec.709 colour coverage.
You get Google TV pre-installed on these projectors. That means you can access over 10,000 apps, including Netflix, Google Assistant voice commands, and BenQ’s SmartRemote app for phone-based control.

The setup experience is a core focus. Auto focus, keystone, screen fit, obstacle avoidance, and eye protection combine to create an 8-way Smart Image Adaptation system that aligns the projection automatically. The TK705i adds a 1.0 to 1.3x motorised optical zoom for flexible placement, while the TK705STi uses a short-throw lens that produces a 100-inch image from 1.8 metres.
For gaming, both projectors support 5ms input lag at 4K 60Hz with Auto Low Latency Mode and dedicated HDR-FPS and HDR-RPG picture modes. HDMI 2.1 with eARC ensures compatibility with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck.
For audio, you get dual 8W chamber speakers with Dolby Audio. You can also pair external speakers or headphones via Bluetooth 5.2. Connectivity options also include HDMI 2.1, USB-A, and USB-C with 30W power delivery for devices like streaming sticks or smartphones.
What’s new
The TK705i series focuses on ease of installation. The addition of built-in Google TV and official Netflix reduces the need for external streaming devices. Meanwhile, HDR-Pro enhancements and more refined colour tuning aim to improve contrast in mixed-light environments.
The TK705STi short-throw variant targets Indian apartments where viewers often need a large screen in a constrained space. Ultra-low-latency 4K gaming support also strengthens BenQ’s position among users who want a projector that can double as a living-room console display.
The TK705i and TK705STi aim to offer a more read-to-use approach to 4K projection at home, especially for users who want a large screen, built-in streaming, and gaming-ready performance without a dedicated theatre setup.
