Apple has announced that it will be hosting it’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 5 till June 9 in San Jose, California. This will be the 28th edition of the company’s conference. Apple also notes that San Jose was the site of the first WWDC and the venue is located “just minutes” from its new headquarters in Cupertino. It says in its statement, “Apple is working with the city of San Jose and local businesses to celebrate the return of WWDC with very special experiences around San Jose throughout the week.”
Tickets for the WWDC conference will cost $1599 and will sell from March 27 onwards, but only developers can apply. The conference will be live streamed via the Apple Developers website and on the WWDC app on the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Last year, the company held the event on June 13 and announced a number of upcoming features on its devices, such as WatchOS 3. The company talked about how its devices would work in tandem with each other. Further, Apple also revealed last year, that its digital voice assistant, Siri, will now be available on MacOS devices. Optimisation of iCloud storage and other incremental upgrades to MacOS Sierra were also announced, such as picture-in-picture video, introduction of Apple pay to the desktop and more.
