After months of teasing, India's homegrown PUBG mobile alternative, FAU-G was finally released on 26th January, which is also India's Republic Day. The pre-registration started late in November 2020 and the game has gained more than 4 million registrations until today.
FAU-G or Fearless and United Guards have seen an overwhelming response from the fans. The game is backed by popular Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, and is being promoted under PM Narendra Modi's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" campaign, which has emphasized on getting vocal for local products and services.
If you've been among those eagerly waiting for the game to launch in India, we're here to help.
Downloading FAU-G is like downloading any other app from the Google Play Store. The game will be available on Play Store on 26th January, so this method will only work once the game is released.
If you have already pre-registered for the game, you will be notified when the game goes live. Users who have selected the option to install the game as it gets available while pre-registering do not need to follow these steps. Users running Android OS version older than 8 may not be able to install the game.
At launch, FAU-G only offers a single-player campaign mode that focuses on the Galwan Valley clash that occurred between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020. There are 5v5 Team Deathmatch and Free For All game modes, but those are locked as of now. As expected, there is no battle royale mode like PUBG Mobile, at least not at the moment. There are also no firearms in the game and there is only melee combat, which is what the teaser showed.
