Solo Leveling Season 3 delayed
At a For Your Consideration screening event hosted by Crunchyroll in California, the creators and cast of Solo Leveling joined fans for a live Q&A. When asked about Season 3, Aniplex producer Sota Furuhashi confirmed that the anime will continue, but he also joked that fans may have to wait “until the next Olympics,” suggesting a possible 2028 release.
The previous season gap of just one year had built expectations for a quicker return, but it now seems that a longer break is on the cards.

Why the long wait
Even though Seasons 1 and 2 came out close together, they were in production for several years. According to Furuhashi, the two seasons together required over 2,20,000 animation frames and nearly four years of work, starting back in 2021.
The studio behind the anime, A-1 Pictures, is known for producing multiple high-quality shows at once, which could mean their resources are being stretched. The added time could help maintain the stunning animation the show is known for.
