The film brings back Shivam Pandit, played by Emraan Hashmi. Shivam once lived a life connected to crime. He later decided to leave that world behind.
His peaceful life changes when several children are kidnapped in Thailand. A baby girl is among them. Shivam names the baby Aaliyah. The name has a special meaning for him. It reminds him of the woman he loved and lost in the past.

The film was released alongside Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 during the Independence Day weekend. Batwara 1947 reportedly earned Rs 5.75 crore net in India on day one. The film stars Sunny Deol, Preity G Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Isha Sandhir, Aamir Khan, Abhimanyu Singh, Ali Fazal, Vicky Kaushal and Kanikka Kapur in important roles.
