X brings new Grok-powered AI feature, Stories: How to use it?
HIGHLIGHTS

X has launched ‘Stories’ that are not what you are thinking it is.

The feature is powered by Grok AI, the platform's in-house AI chatbot.

Currently, the feature has only been launched for Premium subscribers of X.

Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter and rebranded it as X, new features have been rolled out left, right, and centre. He keeps on adding new features to the platform, to “amp” it up. This time, X has launched ‘Stories’. Yes, the stories that we’ve previously seen on apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Snapchat is not the same as X’s Stories. Read along to find out more about it.

Available only for X Premium subscribers

The feature is powered by Grok AI, the platform’s in-house AI chatbot. Currently, the feature has only been launched for Premium subscribers of X. An official post made by X’s Engineering account on the platform read, “Now available: Stories on X, powered by Grok AI. See what the world is talking about with Stories on X, curated by @grok, now available for Premium subscribers in the Explore tab. Web & iOS only for now—let us know your feedback.”

How to use ‘Stories’ on X?

Once you go to X, and if you are a Premium subscriber, you can find the feature under the
‘For You’ section. With Stories, users can consume content in a much simpler form. It will provide concise summaries of trending posts as per the users’ interests. With the introduction of this, users will not have to navigate through their entire timeline.

X Stories

It is not all fun and games

Despite Grok AI’s great summarization skills, X has added a point of caution for all the users to not blindly trust everything. After every story, you will see a disclaimer that says, “Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs.”

A spokesperson for X said, “With Stories, we aim to provide our users with a seamless content consumption experience, delivering the most relevant information in a concise format.”
