Motorola is reportedly planning to launch its first book-style foldable device in 2026.
The phone could be called the “razr fold.”
According to the leak, the device is expected to offer "brilliant displays, intelligent AI, and an advanced, boundary-breaking camera system, setting a new standard for what's possible in a foldable device.”
Motorola may soon expand its foldable smartphone lineup beyond flip phones, as a fresh leak hints that the company is working on its first book-style foldable device to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. Popular tipster Evan Blass shared an image on X (formerly Twitter) that appears to be promotional material for the upcoming device. According to the leaked teaser, the phone could be called the “razr fold.” The image also hints that the device may launch later this year, although no exact date has been confirmed yet.

Second, it states that “razr fold will offer brilliant displays, intelligent AI, and an advanced, boundary-breaking camera system, setting a new standard for what’s possible in a foldable device.” Third, in the image, Motorola says it will share more information in the “coming months.”

Motorola is scheduled to launch its new Signature series on January 7, and this event could be used to give a glimpse of its plans for the book-style foldable. There is also speculation that the company may preview the device at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
So far, specifications of the razr fold remain unknown. However, once it launches, the device is expected to compete with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. This would mark the company’s first attempt at a notebook-style foldable.

Meanwhile, Evan Blass has also shared a picture which mentions details about the upcoming Motorola Signature smartphone. The image reads, “motorola signature is a modern classic with exceptional features, offering an ultra-thin design that still packs in a long-lasting battery, four 50MP cameras with three Sony LYTIA camera sensors and next generation AI performance.”
