Best air purifiers between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 in India in 2026
We recently got a new air purifier to review. It sits in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 price bracket, which is one of the most competitive segments in India right now. Before writing that review, I did research on all the options currently available in this range. This list is part of that research, and I decided to share it with you. I have primarily looked into four key specifications. First is True HEPA filtration grade, whether the purifier meets H13 or H14 standards and what that means for what it can capture. Second is Clean Air Delivery Rate, or CADR, which tells you how much air is cleaned per hour, not just how fast the fan spins. Third is the noise level, because a purifier that is too loud at night often ends up being switched off. Fourth is coverage area, so you can match the purifier to your room size. If a model offered something genuinely useful beyond this, like a BLDC motor or UV-C sterilisation, I have mentioned them, too.
SurveyThis list is for anyone who wants to breathe fresh air free from PM2.5, dust, or allergens and wants a purifier between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000. For rooms under 400 square feet, most options here will be enough. For larger spaces, especially above 600 square feet, pick the ones with the highest CADR available in your budget.
The list below is ranked in descending order of price. Prices and stock could change with time. Please check the current price and details before purchasing.
Qubo Smart Air Purifier Q1000
CADR: 600 m³/h | Coverage: 1,000 sq. ft. | Max Noise: 57 dB | Filtration: True HEPA H13
The Q1000 leads this list with a CADR of 600 m³/h, 5-in-1 filtration system, including a pre-filter, anti-bacteria filter, True HEPA H13 layer (captures 99.95% of particles at 0.3 microns), and a dense activated carbon layer for VOCs and odours.
The Qubo air purifier packs a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor, which unlike traditional AC motors, creates less noise, less heat and lower power consumption (just 65W despite the massive airflow), and a longer lifespan. It also features proprietary QSensAI system, which uses laser dust sensors to monitor PM2.5 in real time and automatically adjusts fan speed. You also get support for Wi-Fi, Alexa, and Google Assistant.
Price: Rs 19,900
At around Rs 16,700, there is Qubo R700, too, which comes with a BLDC motor, CADR of 460 m³/h, coverage area of 700 sq. ft., True HEPA H13 filter, filter longevity of 15,000 hours and maximum noise of 55 to 59 dB.
Honeywell Air Touch P2 (Large)
CADR: 550 m³/h | Coverage: 853 sq. ft. | Min Noise: 23 dB | Filtration: True HEPA H13
The Air Touch P2 is a close second on raw throughput at 550 m³/h, but it also has a distinguishing multi-layered biological pathogen destruction feature.
On top of True HEPA H13 filtration (99.99% particle removal), it adds a nano-silver anti-bacterial filter layer. Silver ions actively puncture bacterial cell walls and bind to viral proteins on contact, neutralising them rather than just trapping them. It then goes further with integrated UV-C LED irradiation, which shines germicidal ultraviolet light directly onto the filter media, disrupting the DNA of any microorganisms that survive the silver layer. This dual approach is said to contact killing plus UV irradiation.
Then there is 3D airflow design that pushes air both forward and upward, eliminating dead zones in corners. At its lowest setting, it drops to a very quiet 23 dB. Filter life is rated at 9,000 hours (roughly two years of daily use). It also comes with Wi-Fi, the Honeywell Air Touch app, and Alexa support.

Philips Air Purifier AC2220
CADR: 400–420 m³/h | Coverage: Up to 1,119 sq. ft. (claimed) | Sleep Mode Noise: 13 dB(A) | Filtration: NanoProtect HEPA (proprietary)
The AC2220 comes with 1,119 sq. ft. of coverage and the CADR of 400 m³/h. It is certified by AHAM and ECARF for allergy reduction. It operates at 13 dB(A) in sleep mode, which means this purifier would be functionally inaudible.
The filtration uses Philips’ proprietary NanoProtect HEPA media rather than off-the-shelf H13 glass fibre. This synthetic media captures particles down to 0.003 microns at a verified removal rate of 99.99%. The filter life is up to 36 months, depending on local AQI. The purifier supports the Philips Air+ app.
Price: Rs 18,999

Cuckoo Respure Copper
CADR: 408 m³/h | Coverage: 570 sq. ft. | Noise: Quiet (BLDC motor) | Filtration: True HEPA H13 with copper infusion
Cuckoo uses a different filtration approach: it weaves elemental copper directly into the HEPA H13 filter. When bacteria, viruses, or fungal spores get trapped in the filter, the copper helps break them down by damaging their outer layer, so they stop working.
Like the Qubo models, it runs on a BLDC motor, which keeps noise low and efficiency high. It can run between various fan speeds from a gentle Baby Mode to a fast-clearing Turbo Plus Mode. You get built-in Fine Dust and TVOC sensors that auto-adjust fan speed in real time.
Inside, it packs XL-sized filters (2x larger than standard configurations) meant to reduce airflow resistance and extend filter life significantly. Another impressive aspect is 8-year motor warranty. Notably, it has won the Red Dot Design Award.
Price: Rs 15,990
Coway Airmega 150
CADR: 303 m³/h | Coverage: 355 sq. ft. | Noise: 20–52 dB | Filtration: Green True HEPA (proprietary)
The Airmega 150 has a CADR of 303 m³/h and smaller coverage footprint of 355 sq. ft. Coway’s proprietary GreenHEPA technology is rated at 99.999% capture efficiency for particles down to 0.01 microns, and like the Honeywell and Cuckoo units, it includes anti-virus treatment applied directly to the filter media for both mechanical capture and biochemical inactivation. It draws only 35 to 38W of power and hits a minimum noise floor of 20 dB in sleep mode. It is Quiet Mark certified.
The standout practical feature is its cartridge-type pull-out filter system. The washable pre-filter is integrated into a top-loading slide-out cartridge that makes cleaning easy, physically preventing trapped dust from being flung back into the room during maintenance. Among other things, it has a 4-colour air quality indicator and and an Auto Mode that adjusts fan speed accordingly.
