Best USB-C wired earphones for iPhone and Android users under Rs 2000

Wired earphones are trending again, and you may want them for style reasons and utility. After years of dominance by truly wireless earbuds, the simple act of plugging in earphones feels intentional, even expressive. Ever since modern phones dropped the headphone jack, wireless audio has become the default for iPhone and Android users. AirPods and other TWS options have refined over time, but some users may not want to charge their earphones frequently, and do not like the occasional connectivity issues. Latency is also a concern. While improved, it is not eliminated, and this matters for gaming, video editing, or even watching content closely synced to audio. Wired earphones don’t have these issues. They also offer better mic audio. And for Apple users, the iPhone 15 series and later have a USB-C port. So, they can simply plug in a wired earphone and get a consistent experience across calls, music and video. To top it off, it also matters that a pair of wired earphones generally costs a fraction of the wireless AirPods or any high-end TWS option. So, if you want a pair of fairly affordable wired earphones, here we have compiled a list of top USB-C wired earphones under Rs 2,000:

The following earphones are compatible with the iPhone 15 series and later. They also work with Android, Mac, and Windows. Prices and availability may change over time.

Apple EarPods (USB-C)

The Apple EarPods USB-C variant is the easiest recommendation. It is made by Apple and has a semi-open design, which means it will offer a non-isolating feel in the ear. Apple claims they are ‘engineered to maximise sound output.’ While the Earpods come with lightning and 3.5mm jack ends, pick the USB-C model only.

If you have a 3.5mm model, you can use an adapter from Apple. This is sold separately, though. Well, the same applies to the other 3.5mm wired earphones you may have.

Design-wise, the Earpods come in a white colour only. It is said to offer protection from sweat and water. The Earpods’ wire consists of an in-line mic and built-in remote that lets you control the volume and playback, and answer or end calls.
