Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: What to expect

Samsung Galaxy S25 series

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to take center stage, with three models in the spotlight: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. While there have been rumours about a possible Galaxy S25 Slim, it’s unclear whether this model will make an appearance.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to come with a flat-frame design with rounded corners. It can be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The standout feature is expected to be the camera of the Ultra model. Rumours suggest it might sport a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (Samsung JN3), replacing the current 12MP sensor.

The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus are also expected to feature design tweaks, including brighter displays and thinner bezels, all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

One UI 7

Alongside the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is expected to introduce One UI 7, based on Android 15. It is expected to bring a fresh design, enhanced privacy controls, and more Galaxy AI features. While some features have already been previewed on the Galaxy S24 series, the full rollout will come with the launch of the Galaxy S25.

Project Moohan: Samsung’s XR headset

One of the most exciting announcements could be Samsung’s Project Moohan, an extended reality (XR) headset developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm. Powered by Google’s Android XR platform, this headset is expected to feature advanced displays, pass-through capabilities, and multi-modal inputs. Users will likely be able to experience Google Maps, YouTube, and AI-powered assistance from Gemini.
