Valorant Premier – Riot adds all seven maps and makes exciting changes to its newest game mode

Valorant has been one of the most popular FPS titles across the globe since its launch back in 2020. Riot Games, the developers of the title, have been giving a lot to the community in the form of regular updates to the game’s mechanics, modes, agents, and the like. One of the major additions to the game came in August this year, called the Valorant Premier Mode, which was aimed at giving the players an in-game proving ground on their way to the higher levels of play. Now, the developers have made additional improvements to the game mode.

The new changes, as stated by Riot Games in their release about the changes, include – “an expansion of weekly matches to incorporate all seven maps from the competitive pool, and a comprehensive player performance and outcome tracking system.” These changes to the game will come in along with Episode 7, Act II. It is scheduled to start on November 22, 2023, which is tomorrow.

Valorant Premier can open a new world for budding eSports stars

Commenting on the changes to Valorant Premier, Arun Rajappa, Country Head of Riot Games, India & South Asia, said, “VALORANT Premier has been well received in India and South Asia, and we attribute this to the active and supportive gaming community. We are creating a bright future for gaming together with the players, and we are extremely grateful for their passion and dedication!”

One of Valorant’s primary competitor, the Counter-Strike game franchise, had also added a similar mode to their game following the launch of their latest title, Counter-Strike 2. Now, with the additional changes being made to Valorant’s game mode, it will be interesting to see where Valve also makes changes to its system, which was under scrutiny after its launch. Looking at the eSports side of things, as I had said in my coverage of the launch of Valorant Premier, this game mode could prove to be a potential breeding ground for future professional players, whom we could see in action soon!
