Samsung is reportedly preparing for its biggest-ever foldable phone unveiling with its first-ever trifold smartphone later this month during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea, marking one of the most significant hardware unveilings in recent years.
SurveyAs per the reports citing sources familiar with the matter, Samsung’s trifold will be showcased at the Gyeongju venue under glass, as the company plans to restrict hands-on access ahead of its official commercial debut later this year.
The device, equipped with two hinges that allow it to fold out into a tablet-sized screen or fold back into a standard smartphone form, will be presented as part of a high-profile exhibition highlighting South Korea’s technological innovations.
The showcase is strategically timed to coincide with the APEC summit, which will draw global leaders and dignitaries, offering Samsung a powerful global stage to demonstrate its engineering prowess.
The trifold phone represents Samsung’s latest leap in foldable design, following years of dominance in the segment since the original Galaxy Fold’s debut in 2019. The company is positioning this model as the next evolution in mobile form factors, one that blurs the line between smartphone and tablet.
In terms of specifications, Samsung could offer the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip along with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will feature the company’s new ultra-thin and durable hinge design present on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The device is said to offer 25W fast charging.

Previously, the leak suggested that the Samsung Galaxy trifold device could launch later this month. There is no official word on the launch timeline at the time of writing this article. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy tri-fold could be priced $3,000 (roughly Rs 2,64,000).
