Sony has launched its premium flagship lineup of OLED TVs in India. The new Bravia OLED A1 series includes the 65-inch KD-65A1 and the 55-inch KD55A1, which are priced at Rs 4,64,900, and Rs 3,64,900 respectively. The new TVs will be available from August 4 and those who pre-book it between August 1 to August 15 from select dealers, will get a PlayStation 4 console. The two run Android Nougat v7.0, with Sony’s own UI, and offers support for the Google Play Store. It offers 16GB of inbuilt storage and comes with apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Bigflix and Sony Liv built it. Other features include voice search, built in Chromecast, and Screen Mirroring via Miracast. 

The TVs features a One Slate design that resembles a single slab. The company notes that the design is aimed at eliminating any extraneous elements from the TV design, allowing users to immerse themselves to the TV viewing experience. 

The design of the TVs is such that the OLED display technology incorporates all the different functions within the screen itself. Thereby removing the need for external elements such as speakers, bezel, or even a stand. For audio, the company has developed an Acoustic Surface Technology that emanates sound from the screen itself. Two actuators behind the TVs vibrate the screen to create sound, while an integrated subwoofer behind the TVs provides bass. 

The new TVs support 4K HDR picture and the Dolby Vision HDR format. It sports the new 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme, which the company claims to offer 40 percent more real-time image processing as compared to the 4K Processor X1. Other features include a Triluminos Display and according to Sony, it excels at reproducing reds, green and blues.
