Vodafone Idea (VI) has recently launched a new Rs 200 prepaid plan that concentrates on entertainment and mobile data. With this plan, the VI comes in direct competition to the Rs 200 plan from Jio that also concentrates on entertainment because it provides almost the same OTT with live TV and data facilities. While both packs provide validity for 28 days, they are different in OTT, live TV facility, and value. Vodafone Idea’s new Rs 200 Vi Movies & TV prepaid pack comes with a validity of 28 days and includes 30GB of high-speed data. Eligible users also get unlimited 5G access in supported areas.
Aside from the data benefits, the plan also offers access to 20 OTT platforms through the Vi Movies & TV app. This includes JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, ManoramaMAX, FanCode, Chaupal, OTTplay Live, YuppTV, Playflix, Klikk, Atrangii, Pocket Films, Addatimes, Kanccha Lannka, TimesPlay and NextGTV.
Not only that, but the plan also allows users to access more than 200 live TV channels across regional, national and international categories. Vi says the content library supports 16 languages, and the subscription can be used on up to four devices. The OTT Users can also stream on two screens at the same time across supported OTT platforms, except SonyLIV.

Jio Rs 200 prepaid plan
Jio’s Rs 200 prepaid recharge is also valid for 28 days and includes 30GB of high-speed data. It gives users access to 15 OTT platforms, including YouTube Premium, Prime Video Mobile Edition, JioHotstar, Sony LIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Chaupal, FanCode, ETV Win, Kanccha Lannka, Tarang Plus and Times Play.
The plan also includes access to more than 1,000 live TV channels through the JioTV app. In addition, users receive a Cinepolis movie ticket offer that provides up to Rs. 150 off on eligible bookings. However, this recharge is a data-only plan and does not include voice calling or SMS benefits.

While both the recharge packs cost Rs 200 and offer 30 GB of data and are valid for 28 days. Vi has the edge if you prefer more OTT players, providing access to 20 different OTT players as well as the facility to use up to four devices.
On the other hand, if you like watching live TV or require premium content providers like YouTube Premium and Prime Video Mobile Edition, then Jio’s offer wins hands down, not to mention it also gives you more than 1,000 live TV channels.
