Idea has launched a new Rs 159 prepaid plan for its customers. The plan has a validity of 28 days and brings with it 1GB data per day, free unlimited local and STD calling along with free roaming. Users will be able to make voice calls for 250 minutes per day with a total of 1,000 minutes for a week. So, technically, the calling isn’t unlimited. So make sure the plan is available in your region before recharging.
Idea isn’t the only service provider offering such a plan. Relaince Jio, Airtel and Vodafone also have prepaid plans available at the same price point. For Rs 159, Vodafone is giving customers unlimited local, STD, and roaming 1 GB of 4G data per day and 100 texts per day. The validity of the Vodafone plan in 28 days. Airtel is offering the same benefits but the validity of its plan is 21 days.
Reliance Jio, on the other hand, is giving users 42 GB of data with a daily limit of 1.5 GB. The recharge, which will cost users Rs 149, comes with a validity of 28 days and brings with it unlimited calling, 100 texts per day and subscription to Jio’s library of apps.
