Airtel has quietly axed its Rs 549 individual postpaid plan from its lineup. While the telecom giant is yet to make an official announcement for the same, the plan is no longer available on Airtel’s website and the Airtel Thanks app. The plan used to offer unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls along with 100 SMS per day and unlimited 4G and 5G data. Moreover, it also uses bundled entertainment benefits along with six-month Amazon Prime Mobile and more. However, since the plan is no longer available, users can opt for the Rs 449 or Rs 699 postpaid plan as an alternative.

Consumers who are looking for an affordable individual postpaid plan can check out Airtel’s postpaid plan for Rs 449. With the plan the users get unlimited 4G and 5G data and 100 SMS per day. Furthermore, they are also allowed to make unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. Airtel also bundles security features such as fraud link blocking, spam protection and OTP alerts.
Users also enjoy Airtel’s Fast Lane Technology with 5G slicing where supported. Aside from that data and calling benefits, the plan includes Google One with 100GB cloud storage for six months, Airtel Xstream Play Premium for three months, Adobe Express Premium for one year, free Hello Tunes and Blue Ribbon Bag tracking service.

Airtel Rs 699 postpaid plan
If you’re someone who wants more entertainment, then the Rs 699 plan is a better option for you, as it offers six months of Amazon Prime Mobile and JioHotstar Mobile for one year. Aside from that, the subscribers also get Google One 100GB storage, Airtel Xstream Play Premium, Adobe Express Premium, Hello Tunes, Blue Ribbon Bag tracking, and Airtel’s security features.
This is a family plan that costs around Rs 350 per member, excluding GST. Along with the primary member, you can add one more person to the plan. It includes unlimited 4G and 5G data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day for both members.
Which one is better?
If you’re one of the subscribers of the Rs 549 plan, then the alternatives you have are the Rs 449 plan and the Rs 699 plan. However, which one you should opt for depends on your needs. The Rs 499 plan should be an ideal choice for you if you need an affordable plan with a little bit of everything, but if you need an entertainment-focused plan, then the Rs 699 plan should be an ideal plan for you.
