The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A are now available for pre-order on Mi.com. The pre-order option from Xiaomi is seen as a step towards weaning out the company's existing flash sale model. After pre-ordering the device on the website, the order will be shipped within 5 days and the company is only accepting online payments. Xiaomi also offers users the option to cancel the order before the device gets shipped.

Since its entry in India in 2014, the company has been following a flash sale model in exclusive partnerships with e-commerce websites. With pre-orders, the company is somehow trying to simplify the process of buying a Xiaomi smartphone.

The Redmi Note 4 is the successor to last year's Redmi Note 3 and features a unibody metal design with a rear fingerprint sensor and 4100mAh battery. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, and its highest variant offers 4GB RAM, 64GB storage. There is a 13MP camera at the back, while at the front is a 5MP camera. The handset is being sold in Black, Gold and Grey colour options at a starting price of Rs. 9,999. Read our full review of the device here.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the cheapest Android smartphone from the company and features a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The handset offers a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone misses out on a fingerprint sensor, but offers a 3120mAh battery. The handset is available in Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey colour options and is priced at Rs. 5,999. Read our review of the Xiaomi Redmi 4A here.
