The successor to the Xiaomi Redmi 3, the Redmi 4, has been spotted on benchmarking website, Geekbench. As per the listing, the phone sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 430 SoC used in the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and 3S Prime smartphones. Further, the listing suggest that the phone might offer 3GB of RAM and run Android Marshmallow. The device also also scored 929 in the single core test and 4751 in the multi core test. 

It is not known when Xiaomi plans to launch the Redmi 4 or if the company would launch the device in India. The phone’s predecessor, the Redmi 3, was not launched in the country, but upgraded variants of the device, called the Redmi 3S and 3S Prime, were recently launched here. Both phones sport 5-inch HD display and Snapdragon 430 SoCs along with 13MP and 5MP cameras. However, the standard Redmi 3S come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the 3S Prime sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage along with a fingerprint sensor. The two devices are also equipped with a 4100mAh battery, which is 50mAh more than the battry used in the larger Redmi Note 3.
