The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has been in the rumour mill for quite a while. Now though, the company has revealed that the phone will finally be unveiled on October 25. The announcement was made via its Weibo account. Further, two images said to be of the device were also posted online. The images suggest that the phone may have very thin bezels, at least on the top and sides.

Rumours suggest that the Mi Note 2 will come with a 5.7-inch display, which (judging by the leaked images) may not be curved. Further, the device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC with 6GB RAM. It is also tipped to feature a 16MP dual-rear camera setup.

Last month, the company launched the Mi 5s and the Mi 5s Plus. Both phones are powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC and are available in two variants. One houses 3GB RAM and 64GB storage and the other has 4GB RAM, 128GB storage. The standard Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch Full HD display and a 13MP rear camera. The Mi 5s Plus features a larger 5.7-inch Full HD display, while at the back is a dual-camera setup consisting of two 13MP cameras.
