The smartphone bears the codename Xiaomi Oxygen and is tipped to come with a version of MIUI based on Android Nougat v7.1.1

The successor to Xiaomi’s current phablet, the Mi Max, has been spotted on GFXBench. Codenamed Xiaomi Oxygen, the smartphone is listed with a 6.4-inch Full HD display, along with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. At the back of the device is a 12MP camera, while at the front is a 5MP unit. The device is tipped to be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and may run a version of MIUI based on Android Nougat v7.1.1. While the exact name of the processor has not been listed, it is said to feature an Adreno 506 GPU. This is currently being used in the Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 626 platforms. However, other reports suggest that the device may sport a Snapdragon 660 platform, which Qualcomm has not yet announced.

The Xiaomi Mi Max was launched in India back in June last year and was available in two variants. The standard variant runs on the Snapdragon 650 platform with 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The Prime variant on the other hand, runs on the Snapdragon 652 platform with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Besides this, both devices are identical and sport a 6.44-inch FHD display. The phones offer 16MP and 5MP cameras, and are equipped with a 4850mAh battery. Besides the Mi Max, the only other Xiaomi smartphone with a 6.4-inch display is the Mi Mix.
