The Xiaomi Mi 5 managed to hold off the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Apple iPhone 6s, which came second and third respectively
AnTuTu has posted its list of the top ten performance smartphones for the first quarter of 2016. As per the list, Xiaomi Mi 5 managed to hold off competition from the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Apple iPhone 6s to gain the top spot. The Mi 5 scored 136875, while the Galaxy S7 Edge and iPhone 6s scored 134599 and 133781 respectively. The Huawei Mate 8 came fourth with a score of 91157, while the Meizu Pro 5 came fifth with a score of 86322. AnTuTu noted that it took at least 500 data samples for one device’s score between January 1 to March 31, 2016. The company also said that some devices like the LG G5 and HTC 10 were not taken into account as they aren’t officially released yet.
Last month, AnTuTu posted its list of the the top ten smartphone chipsets based on how they scored on its CPU and GPU benchmarks. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 was on the top of the list followed by the Apple A9 and the Exynos 8890. In the GPU category, the Adreno 530 in Snapdragon 820 was on top, followed by the PowerVR GT7600 in the A9. The Mali-T880 MP12 GPU in Exynos 8890 came in third.
