Vivo has launched its latest V series smartphones in India. This year, the brand has brought something really exciting with its Vivo V30 series. The Vivo V30 series includes the first V series smartphone that comes with Zeiss optics. On top of that, the ring light is also there. There are a total of two smartphones; the Vivo V30 and the Vivo V30 Pro. However, in this article, we will be talking about the Pro model only. We are comparing the Vivo V30 Pro with the OnePlus 12R. Both smartphones fall under the same price range, so let’s see how they’re going to compete against each other.

Vivo V30 Pro vs OnePlus 12R: Display

The Vivo V30 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1260 x 2800 pixels resolution. It supports 10-bit colour, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. This display has 2800 nits of peak brightness, as claimed by Vivo.

The OnePlus 12R can easily take on the Vivo V30 Pro with its display. It is equipped with a 6.78-inch 2K LTPO4 AMOLED display with 1264 x 2780 pixels resolution. It supports Dolby Vision, 10-bit colour, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, this display has 4500 nits of peak brightness, as claimed by OnePlus.

Vivo V30 Pro vs OnePlus 12R: Performance

The Vivo V30 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. This smartphone runs on Android 14-based Funtouch 14 UI.

The OnePlus 12R runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is packed with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. Speaking of its OS, the OnePlus 12R also features Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.

It’s pretty difficult to judge which smartphone performs better, as both of them are packed with quite powerful chipsets. However, one thing I can tell you is that the OnePlus 12R has a clearer OS.

Vivo V30 Pro vs OnePlus 12R: Camera

Now here comes the most fun part. Both smartphones come with brilliant camera capabilities, but I think Vivo has the advantage here. It boasts a triple-camera setup on the back, holding a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel Telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel Ultrawide lens. Apart from that, you also get Zeiss optics along with aura light in the V30 Pro for better picture quality. On the front as well, there is a 50-megapixel selfie shooter.

The OnePlus 12R, on the other hand, features a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel Ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel Macro sensor. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Vivo V30 Pro packs a 5000mAh battery with 80-watt fast charging. It also comes with reverse wired charging support. Talking about the OnePlus 12, it has a 5500mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging support, albeit it does not support reverse-wired charging.

Coming to the pricing, Vivo has launched the Vivo V30 Pro in India at a starting price of ₹41,999. Whereas, the OnePlus 12R is available on OnePlus’ official website at a starting price of ₹39,999.
