The company has a new limited edition variant of its Signature line up of phones called the Vertu Signature Cobra Limited Edition, with just eight units up for grabs. The price? Well, the one that is available on JDMall.com is priced at CNY 24,74,000, just over Rs. 2.32 crore!

For that price you don’t even get a smartphone, but  feature phone. But not just any feature phone, this one comes with a body with 439 rubies precisely cut and pieced together to create the shape of a cobra. The eyes are made up of two emeralds. The device has been made in collaboration with French jewelry brand Boucheron and the entire phone is made up 388 parts.

Of course, when you order a gem-encrusted phone worth more than 2 crores, you wouldn’t want it delivered by just another delivery guy on his motorcycle. That’s why when you buy this phone, it will be delivered to you via a helicopter

If you spending so much on a such a phone, specs should not be something that matters to you. As such, the listing on JDMall doesn’t reveal much, After all, it’s still a feature phone. For those still interested, the standard version of the Vertu Signature sports a 2-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240 x 320 TFT LCD display protected by sapphire crystal. You get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. You also get a removeable battery with a talktime of up to five and a half hours.
