Tata Indicom launches Call-n-Tweet to revolutionize social networking on mobiles
Tata Indicom has reportedly launched the Call-n-Tweet service, provided by Kirusa – a value added service provider. This new service is expected to allow Tata Indicom mobile users to post voice tweets on their twitter accounts without logging on to the internet.
The registration procedure requires the user to sign up at callntweet.com with the twitter account details, and then call the regional Call-n-Tweet number: 50007 from the cellphone, speak a few words and hangup the call. This will record the voice message and send it as a public voice tweet on callntweet. The interesting part is, voice tweets have no character length limitations and can exceed the stipulated 140 characters for text tweets. You could also access other users voice tweets by visiting callntweet.com. The subscribers will be reportedly charged Rs. 0.80 per voice tweet.
