Online retailer Infibeam has listed Sony's Xperia E and Xperia E Dual smartphones for pre-order. Both the smartphones will further expand Sony's offering in the budget smartphone line up.

Sony’s Xperia E and Xperia E Dual smartphones are now up for pre-order in India via online retailer Infibeam for Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 10,990 respectively. According to Infibeam, the Xperia E will be released on March 20 while the Xperia E Dual will be available from March 30. The retailer is promising shipping within 2-3 business days from the release date.

Sony had unveiled the Xperia E and Xperia E Dual in December last year. The Sony Xperia E runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS straight out-of-the-box. The smartphone has a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon MSM7227A processor (also called the Snapdragon S1) and has 512MB of RAM.

The Xperia E has 4GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. The rear of the phone has a 3.2MP camera. The Xperia E features a curvy design and is quite light weighing a mere 115.7 gms. The smartphone comes with a 1530 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver talktime of 6 hours and 12 minutes.

The smartphone comes preloaded with a built-in “Walkman” application that includes xLOUD audio technology, 3D surround sound and a manual equalizer. The smartphone also has access to Sony’s music streaming service, Music Unlimited. The Xperia E comes with DLNA wireless connectivity.
