Vivo is gearing up to refresh its smartphone market in India with the launch of its Vivo V80 device. The smartphone will be a successor to the current Vivo V70 and is said to come with noticeable differences. While the company has recently started teasing the smartphone, the company has not officially announced a launch date yet. However, during the early teaser, the company has unveiled some of the back design of the device, which further solidifies the earlier leaks. Vivo has officially started teasing its upcoming Vivo V80 model in India. The company has recently put up a post on its official X handle showcasing the glimpse of the upcoming V80 device. Not only that, but the Chinese manufacturer has also uploaded a dedicated page on its India website with a ‘coming soon’ tag.
While Vivo has not officially announced a launch date yet. Leaks and rumours suggest that the device could land in the Indian market in the first week of October.

Early reports suggest that the handset could make its debut with a price tag close to Rs 55,000. However, these are just early speculations, and the official pricing will only be revealed at the time of launch.

The Vivo V80, much like its predecessor, is said to be a camera-centric device. If the reports are to be trusted, then the device will still come with the Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The device is also anticipated to house a 50MP selfie shooter.
In terms of battery, it’s tipped to come packed with a 7,200 mAh cell and may get fast charging and reverse charging support. Out of the box the device may run on Vivo’s OriginOS 7, a skin based on Android 17.

The handset is also expected to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Other than that, it’s also rumoured to support HDR+ and reach a peak brightness of 6,000 nits.
Under the hood, the device might draw its power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset that may get paired with the Adreno 722 GPU. The Vivo V80 may house 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage options.
