Smartron has launched its t.phone smartphone in India. The device is priced at Rs. 22,999 and will be available from next month. The phone features a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. The device also offers 64GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card along with unlimited storage on t.cloud. It is equipped with a 13MP with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash, while at the front is a 4MP camera. The Smartron t.phone also comes with a USB Type-C port and runs Android Marshmallow v6.0. It is also equipped with a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support. The company claims that the t.phone is the lightest Android phone with a 5.5-inch display.

Smartron says that it aims to build an IoT ecosystem around the t.phone and the t.book hybrid tablet. In addition, the company plans to launch additional devices such as wearables in order to expand this ecosystem even further. Smartron launched the t.book back in March this year. The device is priced at Rs, 39,999 and features a 12.2-inch WQXGA IPS display. It is powered by a 64-bit Intel Core M processor with 4GB of RAM. The device is also equipped with a 128GB SSD for storage and a 10000mAh battery.
