Samsung has restarted the rollout of the One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15, for its Galaxy S24 series. This includes the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. The update was paused a few days ago after a serious bug was found in the initial firmware. Now, Samsung has fixed the issue and is releasing a newer firmware.

According to SamMobile, the updated software is currently available in South Korea, Samsung’s home country. However, it is expected to roll out to other regions very soon. If you’re wondering how to identify the new version, check for the build number S928NKSU4BYD9 on your device.
For those who haven’t updated their phones yet, it’s recommended to temporarily disable lock screen security like PINs, patterns, or fingerprints before installing the update. This is just a precaution, as the earlier issue was likely linked to lock screen protection. While the new update should be stable, it’s always better to be cautious.
It’s still unclear whether users who had already installed the earlier version will receive this new fixed update.
With this restart, Samsung is expected to speed up the rollout and stay on track with its promise of bringing One UI 7 to more devices by the end of the month.
If you own a Galaxy S24 device, you’ll get a notification when the update becomes available for you. But if you don’t want to wait, you can also manually check for it by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
One UI 7 will bring several new features and better user experience, so this update is definitely worth looking forward to.
