Apple is all set to launch its first foldable iPhone, which is reportedly known as the iPhone Ultra. While most of the details about the device still remain under wraps, the new iOS 27 beta 4 has pointed out that the upcoming device will feature a dual battery setup. This discovery aligns with the battery details revealed after the regulatory filing of the device. Apple iPhone Ultra: Battery (Leaked)

According to MacWorld, the iOS 27 Beta 4 includes code strings which refer to the upcoming Apple iPhone Ultra featuring a multi-battery setup. Previously a regulatory filing also indicated that the device may feature a dual-battery setup with capacities of 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh.

When combined, the two batteries offer a total capacity of 4,883mAh, which is slightly larger than the anticipated 4,800mAh battery in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Apple iPhone Ultra: Specs (Expected)

The Apple iPhone Ultra is anticipated to feature a 7.76-inch LTPO OLED main display with an adaptive refresh rate of 144 Hz. Alongside that, it would also come with a 5.49-inch LTPO OLED cover panel that would have a 120Hz refresh rate. 

The smartphone will also house Apple’s A20 Pro chipset under the hood, clubbed with 12 GB RAM and up to 2 TB NVMe storage. Leaks point out that the upcoming model will ditch the Face ID and will roll back to the Touch ID, which will be side-mounted. 

Talking about the camera, the iPhone Ultra is anticipated to come equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back that may include a 48 MP main camera complemented by a 48 MP ultrawide sensor. At the front the smartphone may sport a 18 MP camera on both the main and cover screens.

Apple iPhone Ultra: Launch timeline and price (Expected)

Apple has been tight-lipped about the release date for its upcoming iPhone Ultra. However, reports claim that it might launch in September 2026 alongside the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series. Leaks also point to the folding smartphone costing somewhere between Rs 1.75 lakh and Rs 2 lakh. However, it must be noted that these are mere conjectures, and the exact price would be known when the smartphone is unveiled.
