Highlights

  • New leaks sheds light on the battery capacity of the S10 family of devices.
  • It is speculated that the S10 lite will have a 3100mAh battery, the S10 will have a 3500mAh battery and the S10 Plus will have a 4000mAh battery.

Another day, another Samsung Galaxy S10 Leak. Ice Universe has tweeted an image which shows the protective cover for the three variants of the Galaxy S10. According to the tweet, the smallest Galaxy S10, presumably called the S10 Lite is expected to sport a 5.8-inch display and a 3100mAh battery. The regular variant of the S10 will house a 6.1-inch display and a 3500mAh battery. The S10 plus will have a 6.4-inch display and sport a 4000mAh battery. In another tweet, Ice Universe has said, “The Galaxy S10 Lite also uses the Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820 processor.” From this we can presume that there will be no compromises on the processor front any of the Galaxy S10 variants. There could be variants based on RAM and storage. It is also speculated that the Galaxy S10 Lite will come with a dual-camera setup at the back whereas the other two variants will come with a triple camera setup. All these are of course leaks and need to be taken with a pinch of salt as the final build and specifications of the S10 family of smartphones will be revealed soon by Samsung.

Other rumours about the S10 family of devices hints at a punch hole design in the front to house the front facing camera. It is also speculated that the smartphones will support wireless charging but seeing that the S9 family of devices already houses the feature, it is safe to assume that the S10 family will also bring with it wireless charging.

Information circulating the internet is also hinting at a 5G variant of the Galaxy S10, but it isn’t clear whether this will be a separate device or will the S10 line-up be 5G capable. Samsung did take the stage at the Qualcomm Tech Summit in Hawaii in December 2018 and say that they will launch a 5G phone. However, no details were shared on the model number, price or availability of the smartphone. You can read more about the announced Samsung 5G phone here
