Samsung again mocks Apple after iOS 26 reveal, calls out features and design similarity

Samsung is at it again, taking a playful jab at Apple following the WWDC 2025 announcements. Continuing its yearly tradition, Samsung’s social media team wasted no time poking fun at Apple iOS 26’s design language and features. At the keynote, Apple introduced its latest iOS 26 with a new “Liquid Glass” design featuring a sleek glass UI and a floating bar that looks strikingly familiar to Samsung’s recently launched One UI 7 redesign.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Samsung’s social media team didn’t let the fact that Apple’s shiny new UI isn’t exactly new to the industry slide. They didn’t stop there, but also cheekily pointed out AI-powered features like Live Translation, which is now available across apps like Messages and FaceTime, having been introduced on the Galaxy S24 series last year and subsequently rolled out to other Galaxy devices.

In another tweet, the South Korean tech giant also highlighted that the newly introduced Apple Watch’s new AI workout buddy-like feature is already available on Galaxy Watches. They tweeted, “AI is coming to your watch? Cute. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care.”

Samsung also highlighted iOS 26’s new Call Screening and Hold Assist features, which resemble Google Pixel’s Call Screen and Hold for Me features introduced in 2018.

Notably, Samsung is not the only OEM to poke fun at Apple. Last month, Google too did the same over the rumoured iPhone 17’s design that appears similar to Pixel phones. In the “#BestPhonesForever” ad campaign, the tech giant also made some sly jokes over how many Pixel features Apple has copied. The tech giant smartly highlighted features such as Night Sight, Night Mode, Magic Eraser, Cleanup, and home screen widgets, which later appeared on iPhones as well.
