Redmi Note 8 Pro(₹ 15990 at Tatacliq) was launched last month in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphone has received a storage boost in China. The 256GB variant of Redmi Note 8 Pro has been launched in the Chinese market. However, it didn’t get a RAM boost and comes with 8GB RAM only. For now, the company has not announced if it is planning to launch the new variant in India or not.
Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display. It has a waterdrop notch. The smartphone comes with a curved Gorilla Glass 5 panel on the back. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. It comes in three variants in India: 6GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version. The new Redmi Note 8 Pro model has 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has liquid cooling that is said to enable a better gaming experience.
In the optics department, Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a quad rear camera setup: a 64MP sensor by Samsung + an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens + a 2MP depth sensor + a 2MP sensor with a macro lens. The smartphone also comes with a 20MP selfie shooter.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at Rs 14,999 for the base, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage models cost Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively. There is no word if the new 8GB RAM + 256GB variant will make its way to India or not.
