Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to refresh its lineup in the Indian as well as the global markets. While the company has not yet officially announced anything yet, a tipster recently suggested the launch timeline for Redmi and Xiaomi lineups over the coming months. The Redmi is anticipated to launch the Redmi 17 series, followed by the Note 17 Pro lineup that would join the existing Redmi Note 17, which was launched earlier this week. Other than that, Xiaomi is also reported to launch the 18 Pro series later this year. Here’s what we know about the upcoming Redmi and Xiaomi smartphones.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav recently posted on X, suggesting that the Redmi 17 series is expected to launch on September 5. Following this, the Chinese manufacturer could also launch the Redmi Note 17 Pro series around September 18 or 20. He further tipped that the much-anticipated Xiaomi 18 Pro series could make its way to the Indian market by December.

Redmi 17, Note 17 Pro series and Xiaomi 18 Pro series: Specs (Expected)

The Redmi 17 series is likely to offer a 6.9-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. To keep the device running, it may feature a 7,500mAh battery and 45W fast charging. Under the hood, the smartphone may run on Helio G91 Ultra or Snapdragon 4 Gen 5. Leaks also suggest that it may be a dual-camera setup at the rear end which would be led by a 50MP AI main rear camera coupled with a secondary lens and an 8MP front selfie camera.
While the upcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro series is anticipated to sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display coupled with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also tipped to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. In terms of camera, it may feature a 200MP main camera. Under the hood it’s anticipated to run on a Snapdragon 6-series chip and expected to bag an IP68 rating.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series is expected to boast Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset along with dual 200MP cameras at the rear end. The leaks also suggest that it may launch with a small secondary display on the back. Reports suggest that the device may come packed with a 7,000mAh to 8,500mAh battery.
