Redmi K20 spotted in a leaked official image.

The image confirms the presence of the phone's triple rear camera setup.

The Redmi K20, the smartphone Xiaomi refers to as “Flagship Killer 2.0”, has finally been caught in an official image. Originally found on Chinese social media portal Weibo and later shared by GSMArena, the leaked image shows the back side of the Redmi K20. The leaked image, which appears to be from an official source, confirms everybody’s guess that the Redmi K20 sports a triple camera setup on the back. The back panel too appears to be made of glass as it sports coloured gradients.

Sadly, the image doesn’t reveal anything else of great importance about the upcoming Redmi K20 smartphone except that it houses its power button and volume rocker on the right side of the body. Last we checked, the Redmi K20 is expected to be built with flagship smartphone-like specifications and have a high screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent. The phone is expected to come in three colours: Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Fibre Black. In the leaked image, all we see is a Redmi K20 (in what appears to be Carbon Fibre Black) emerging from an ash-like substance.

On its back panel (as seen in the image), we see an independent primary camera sensor followed by two more optical sensors (placed in a separate housing) and a single LED flash. All these elements are stacked vertically. The primary shooter is expected to be a 48-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. The wide-angle lens is expected to be a 13-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. The telephoto lens is expected to be an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. The selfie camera, which should pop up from within the phone’s body, is expected to be a 20-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.0.

Here’s what we already know about the Redmi K20 based on previous leaks and reports: the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM. Internal storage goes all the way up to 256GB on the costliest variant. The battery on it is a 4,000mAh unit. The phone has a large 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The phone runs Android 9 Pie and has MIUI 10 slapped on top of it. We recently learnt that the Redmi K20 also sports a 6th-gen optical in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
