Recently two smartphones were launched in the sub-30k category: Poco F6 and the Realme GT 6T. If you are looking to buy a smartphone under this budget then these can be good options to choose from. But which one will be the best phone under ₹30,000? I am going to compare these two newly launched smartphones so that you can make a more informed choice. We will compare these two devices based on their design, display, performance, camera, and battery.

Poco F6 vs Realme GT 6T: Design

Let’s talk about the design of the two smartphones first. The similarities- both of these smartphones have flat edges on the front, slim bezels, and a punch-hole cutout in the centre. Both also have a plastic frame. You get an in-display fingerprint sensor on both. The Realme GT 6T in particular has a darker colour on the top portion of the back panel to house the camera module. The Realme GT 6T offers an IP65 rating, whereas the Poco F6 only offers an IP64 rating which is dust and splash-resistant.

Display goes to Realme GT 6T

Coming to the display now, both of these smartphones pack an AMOLED display and have a 1.5K panel. Speaking about their brightness, the Realme GT 6T wins the game with a claimed 6000 nits of peak brightness. Whereas, the Poco F6 offers 2,400 nits only. You get HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision support on both. You get the first generation Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the POCO F6 while the Realme GT 6T has Victus 2 glass.

Poco F6 has a better chipset

If we talk about performance, the Poco F6 has a more powerful chipset. It packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, while the Realme GT 6T has a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip. However, both of these smartphones have good real-world performance and handle multitasking quite well. Both run on Android 14-based custom UIs. You will also get 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates with both.

Camera is a tough competition

Coming to my favourite part, the camera. Both smartphones feature a dual camera setup. The Realme GT 6T has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The Poco F6 5G, on the other hand, has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS+EIS and an 8MP ultra-wide angle Sony IMX355 lens. It also has a 20MP selfie shooter in the front.

Realme GT 6T has a bigger battery

The Realme GT 6T has a bigger 5,500mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. Poco F6 5G on the other hand has a 5,000mAh battery with a 90W wired charging support.

Which one is the best phone under ₹30,000?

Overall, both of these smartphones offer great features for around ₹30,000. You get a great deal with both smartphones. You can make a choice based on your personal requirements such as performance, display, or cameras. However, I feel that the Poco F6 should be the best phone under ₹30,000 among these two. Why? Because it has a slightly better performance than the Realme GT 6T due to its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. But, if you want a brighter display and a long-lasting battery, then the Realme GT 6T would be a good choice.
