Oppo to reportedly launch its ‘Find 5’ quad-core Jelly Bean phablet in India

Yet another Chinese manufacturer plans to tap India's mammoth smartphone industry.

Chinese manufacturer Oppo is reportedly planning to launch its flagship smartphone, Find 5, in India.

The Oppo Find 5 comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of a 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD and 441ppi pixel density. The smartphone/phablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor. It has 2GB of RAM. The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera and 1.9MP front facing camera. The Find 5 comes with a 2,500mAh battery.

For connectivity, the Find 5 supports NFC, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Other notable feature of the smartphone/phablet is the Direct HD sound system, which is supposed to provide improved audio experience. The device is being pitted against the likes of the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z. Check out the full specifications of the Find 5 here.

According to reports, the 16GB version of the Oppo Find 5 will be priced at Rs. 27,445, while the 32 GB version will carry a price tag of Rs. 31,259. As of now, there’s no official word on the exact release date of the smartphone.

Reports of the Oppo Find 5 India release comes amid rumours that the company may soon unveil a successor to its flagship smartphone. Although details of the Find 5 successor are sketchy, the next smartphone is expected to come with 5-inch full HD display, 2GB RAM and notably an 8MP front facing camera. The Find 5 successor is expected to be released in September this year.
