Oppo has launched its K3 smartphone, and debuted VOOC and Super VOOC tech supported power banks in China. The Oppo K3 comes with a pop-up selfie camera, a dual camera on the back, and an AMOLED display. Oppo says that the display of the phone has been certified by Germany's TUV Rheinland for eye protection – a tech has been included in several recently-launched phones.

Oppo K3 specifications:

Oppo K3 sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and DC dimming feature. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor which, Oppo claims, is 28.5 percent faster than the traditional sensor. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 mobile platform and is assisted by up to 8GB RAM LPDDR4x and up to 128GB local storage. There is also a special variant with 256GB storage. It comes with GameBoost 2.0 technology which is claimed to enhance the gaming performance of the phone.

The camera responsibilities are on a dual-camera setup on the back and a pop-up selfie camera. While the rear camera has a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, the front camera has a 16MP sensor. Oppo says that the pop-up camera has a life of five years and takes in 0.74 seconds to pop out of its housing. The back camera has an AI-powered portrait mode and scene detection. There is an Ultra Clear Night View 2.0 feature to take clear images in low-light conditions. The phone has a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 technology support.

As mentioned, the phone is offered in various RAM options. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,000) and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will costs users CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 19,000). The special 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option has a price tag of CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 23,000). The phones will be available on May 23 for a limited time on Oppo’s online store. The 256Gb variant is not available in this sale.

Additionally, Oppo has also launched power banks with VOOC tech support. The 20W VOOC power bank has a 10,000mAh capacity and is priced at CNY 279 (approx Rs 2,800). There is a Super VOOC variant with 50W two-way charging support, and it will cost users CNY 379 (approx Rs 3,800). Just like the phones, the power banks are also available on Oppo’s online store.
