While OnePlus has announced the dates & venue details for cities in Europe and US, the same for Indian cities are yet to be announced
OnePlus has announced that it will be organising pop-up events in seven global cities following the launch of the OnePlus 3. The events will give people a chance to purchase the new device and win some “exclusive swag.” In India, the event will be held at Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru, while globally it will be held at New York, London, Paris, and Berlin. Although the date and venue details for the US and European cities have been revealed, the same for Indian cities is yet to be announced. The company notes that everyone is free to be a part of the events and there is no need to sign up for it. Further, it has been revealed that the company's co-founder, Carl Pei will be an attendee at the pop-up event in New York.
OnePlus has already announced that the OnePlus 3 will be available without any invites. The device will first be available via the Loop VR experience during the first two hours of its launch after which anyone will be able to purchase the phone. In a post on the company's forum, Pei noted after using the invite system since the launch of the OnePlus One, he feels that the company has reached a point where the company can make the OnePlus 3 available invite-free from day one.
OnePlus has also given select users a chance to review the OnePlus 3 before it launches. The company has invited users to register on a separate page on its website, and will select 30 people to review the device. Further, OnePlus will still hold thier property rights for the phone, meaning that the company can take back the device at any time as per its discretion.
