HIGHLIGHTS

OnePlus is reportedly planning to pack a bigger 6,000mAh battery with the OnePlus 13.

With this upgrade, we might get to see an extended battery life.

But at the same time, we will have to compromise on the quick charge.

It has been quite a successful year for OnePlus with many hits and a few misses also. Now, the tech giant is gearing up for its next set of releases. I am particularly talking about the flagship OnePlus 13, which will succeed the OnePlus 12. Even before the company confirms anything, rumours and leaks are giving us a hint of what we can expect from the upcoming flagship from OnePlus.

OnePlus 13 rumoured specifications

The word on the rumour mill is that OnePlus is going to make many changes to the upcoming device. One such rumour suggests that we can see an increase in the battery size. Currently, the OnePlus 12 packs a 5,400mAh battery. Now, the company is planning to pack a bigger 6,000mAh battery with the OnePlus 13. It is expected to have the same 100-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging.

With this upgrade, we might get to see an extended battery life. It will last you longer. But at the same time, we will have to compromise on the quick charge. The current OnePlus 12 takes 30 minutes for a full charge, this might slightly increase by 10-15 minutes with the OnePlus 13.

Also, the OnePlus 13 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. We might also get an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which promises better accuracy and security compared to previous models.

Other rumours also suggest that OnePlus might take a switch from its current design language. For cameras, the OnePlus 13 is expected to retain the LYT808 sensor used in the OnePlus 12. It will have a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens.

There has been no official communication from OnePlus yet as to when it will launch the new OnePlus 13. But reports suggest that it will debut in China first in December, then it will have a global launch in January.
