Nokia 9 tipped to cost Rs. 44,999 in India, may launch in Q3 2017

The Nokia 9 is expected to be the next flagship smartphone from the company and previous leaks, rumours have given us a hint at what to expect. Now, a report by Nokia Power User gives us a glimpse at the price of the smartphone as well as the date at which we can expect the device to be unveiled. As per the report, the device might be priced at Rs. 44,999 in India and that it would be cheaper in India that the US or Europe, where it is tipped to cost $699 and EUR 749 respectively. Further, the device is expected to be available sometime in the latter half of Q3 this year. This could be due to the availability issues with the Snapdragon 835 platform.
Nokia’s other smartphones, the Nokia 3, 5, and 6 are expected to be available in 120 markets sometime in Q2 this year. The company’s new feature phone, the Nokia 3310, is tipped to be available in India before its smartphones.
To recall, the Nokia 9 is tipped to offer a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display, and may be powered by a Snapdragon 835 platform with 6GB of RAM. The device is expected to offer a 22MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, while at the front may be a 12MP camera. Other features that the phone might come with include an iris scanner, along with ‘OZO’ audio enhancements, which are believed to offer some VR features.
