Nokia 6, the first smartphone from HMD Global will finally be made available outside of China

HMD Global will announce Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and a variant of the Nokia 3310 feature phone at MWC, 2017. According to Evan Blass, Nokia will announce four handsets at its MWC event on February 26.

First of the four devices will be the Nokia 6 – a device only available in China right now. The handset will become official for European markets at a retail price of €249. The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 430 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. HMD Global recently said it is unable to fulfill demand for the Nokia 6 in China.

The new leak ends the rumour that the Nokia P1 flagship handset will be announced at MWC. According to Blass, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be budget handsets running Android 7.0 Nougat.

Nokia 5 reportedly features a 5.2-inch 720p display and Snapdragon 430 chipset. The handset will come with 2GB of RAM and a 12MP rear camera. The specifications hint at this device being same as the earlier rumoured Nokia D1C. According to Blass' sources, Nokia 5 will become available at €199, while the Nokia 3 will retail for €149. Nokia is maintaining a difference of €50 between all three Android smartphones.

Yesterday there were reports that Nokia will bring back its iconic N-Series and 3310 feature phone to the market. Now, Blass confirms the existence of new incarnation of 3310. This feature phone will retail for €59 and bring back the legendary build and battery life.

The new leak seems to state that the devices are coming to European markets. It is not immediately clear whether these handsets are heading to other markets. HMD is also exploring India as a potential market and its plans should become clear at MWC. The company has already set up a team here in the country.
